Connecting Families to Community Resources
Ontario Early Years Centre Ottawa South
The Ottawa South Ontario Early Years Centre Ottawa South is a place for children up to the age of six and their parents and caregivers to take part in programs and activities together. The OEYC Ottawa South also brings together in one location information about children's services and programs in the community.
Parenting and Family Literacy Centres
Parenting and Family Literacy Centres offer early learning programs where parents/caregivers and children from babies to 6 years can learn and play together in their local school. No pre-registration needed. Programs are free for families and snacks are provided.
South East Ottawa Community Health Centre, Community Services
South East Ottawa Community Health Centre provides health, social and community services to everyone, but particularly to people with special needs living in South-East Ottawa including seniors, youth, families and individuals with low-incomes, and multicultural communities.
Hunt Club Riverside Community Services Centre
Hunt Club/Riverside Community Services Centre (HC/R CSC) is a charitable, not-for-profit organization committed to facilitating and creating access to social services that respond to the needs of the Hunt Club and Riverside Park communities. We offer accessible and culturally appropriate supportive counselling, community development and health promotion services for children, youth, adults and seniors. Hunt Club/Riverside Community Services Centre provides various programs for children such as playgroups, preschool speech and language program, Christie Lake Kids Star Programs, Kids Homework Club and many more.
Lebanese and Arab Social Services Agency
L.A.S.S.A. is a settlement and social services agency that strives to provide the highest quality services to facilitate and expedite the settlement and integration of new Canadians in general and Arabic-speaking ones in particular.
Parent Resource Centre
The Parent Resource Centre provides services to connect you with Ottawa resources available to all parents, caregivers and those who support them. There is information about programs, workshops and where to get parenting help.
First Words Preschool Speech and Language Program
First Words is Ottawa’s Preschool Speech and Language Program. This program helps Ottawa preschool children reach their full communication potential. First Words focuses on the prevention, early identification and treatment of speech and language problems. The website offers useful screening tools, information and activities.
Community Information Centre
A free bilingual service linking Ottawa citizens with community resources. Information can be obtained by calling 2-1-1 or 613-24-INFO line.
