The Ottawa South Best Start Planning Table is working towards building "a collaborative community engaged in ensuring that ALL children have the best and equitable opportunity to achieve their full potential."

Our website provides parents and caregivers of children 0 to 6 years of age with information on programs and events in Ottawa South, the Best Start Initiative as well as links to parenting resources. 

Best Start is an Ontario government early learning and care strategy designed to help give our children the best possible start in life. The initiative aims to ensure children are prepared and eager to achieve success in school by the time they start Grade One.

The mandate of the Ottawa South Best Start Planning Table Steering Committee is to collaborate with our community partners to plan for and monitor implementation of Best Start in the eight Ottawa South Best Start neighbourhoods: Alta Vista; Blossom Park/Windsor Park; Clementine/Riverside Park; Hawthorne and Findlay Creek; Hunt Club East and Hunt Club West; Ottawa South; Riverview/Hawthorne and Ottawa South East.
